On the 1st of May 2018 the Scottish Government introduced minimum unit pricing (MUP) to all products across Beers, Wines & Spirits (BWS).
The Government will apply a price per alcohol unit. Research by the University of Sheffield estimates that MUP will help alcohol related deaths fall by about 120 per year and that hospital admissions will also reduce by about 2,000 a year.
As a result of this we'll need to review ‘alcohol by volume’ (ABV) for each of our beers, wines and spirits and increase prices to be compliant with the law. If a product is already over the MUP threshold the price won’t increase.

Will this affect shopping online?
Yes. In line with the new legislation, Minimum Unit Pricing has been added to all products covered by the policy.
What if a customer lives in England but their online order is fulfilled by a Scottish store? Will they have to pay the higher price?
Yes. In line with legislation, Minimum Unit Pricing will be added to any item covered by the policy.
Why can’t I order from an English store instead?
For a number of reasons we’ll always deliver from a customer’s nearest online store. Due to this legislation we’re legally required to apply Minimum Unit Pricing to products sold by our stores in Scotland.
What happens if I buy a product in Scotland but return it in England? Will I get all of my money back?
Yes. All you need to do is show us your receipt and our colleagues will happy to issue a full refund.
