FAQs

Why can’t I buy Deli fillers at the moment?
Routine testing carried out by our supplier has found listeria in a small number of products in our pre-packaged Deli sandwich range. As a precautionary measure we’re recalling the entire range. We’re asking customers not to eat these products and return them to their nearest Sainsbury’s for a full refund.  We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.

How high were the levels found?
We don’t have all the results to share but, as a precautionary measure, we’re recalling the entire range.

How many products are affected?

What should I do if I have already eaten one of the affected products?
We haven’t received any complaints from customers feeling unwell, and the recall is purely a precautionary measure.  However, if you have or begin to feel unwell, we would recommend you visit your doctor at your earliest convenience.

How do I get my money back?
We’re refunding customers who can visit their nearest Sainsbury’s or contact our Careline.

Is this a health hazard?
The recall is precautionary and we’ve had no complaints.

I’ve got some of the affected products at home, are they safe to eat?
As a precaution, we’re asking customers not to eat any these products but return them to their nearest Sainsbury’s where they’ll be given a full refund

What about your sandwiches. Are they affected?
No.

How can you guarantee that your other products are OK?
