My Regular Slot terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to our My Regular Slot Trial ("the Trial"). The Trial provides an opportunity to book the same online grocery delivery slot each week. Please read these terms carefully to make sure the Trial is right for you. Our Online Grocery terms and conditions and Privacy Policy apply to all online grocery orders and to the Trial and by choosing to take part in the Trial you accept the terms and conditions.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to update and/or revise these terms and conditions and/or withdraw or amend the Trial at any time. If you take part in the Trial we will let you know about any changes to it. Your continued participation in the Trial signifies your acceptance of any changes.

Please note that all calls to us are free from BT land lines, mobile providers and other networks may vary. Calls may be recorded for training and security purposes.

1. The Trial

1.1 Participation in the Trial is by invitation only. It's available to selected Sainsbury's Delivery Pass customers only.

1.2 The Trial offer is personal to you and can be accepted by the invited account holder only. It is not transferrable. It can only be used at one address associated with the participant. See term 7 for change of address limitations.

1.3 The Trial is available for grocery delivery orders only. We're sorry but the Trial does not currently extend to Click & Collect orders.

1.4 Trial invitations can be seen in the App and the Sainsburys.co.uk website.

1.5 If you're eligible to participate in the Trial, we'll ask you if you'd like to join when you next check out an online grocery order. If you don't join at that time, we'll continue to offer you the opportunity to join each time you check out an order until the Trial is full. If you'd prefer not to see this offer please contact us on 0800 328 1700.

2. Participating in the Trial

2.1 When you join the Trial, the delivery slot you used immediately before joining will be the slot we make available to you each week.

2.2 Your first Regular Slot will be automatically reserved for you. Thereafter, we'll offer you the opportunity by email each week to accept future Regular Slot seven (7) days before the delivery day. Following receipt of your email, the slot will be reserved for you for a limited time until you accept it before 11 pm the day after the date of your email. You'll need to accept the slot each week.

2.3 To accept the slot, you must add goods to your basket and check out before 11 pm the day after the date of your weekly email. You can continue to edit your order until 11pm on the day before your delivery. We will check your payment details at checkout but you will not be charged until your order is ready for delivery.

2.4 If you don't place an order within the deadline, the slot will be made available to other shoppers and may no longer be available to you.

2.5 If you don't want to accept the reserved slot in any given week simply ignore the email and take no action. Whether you accept the reserved slot or not, we'll offer you a Regular Slot for the same day and time the following week and each subsequent week during the Trial subject to the current Covid 19 restrictions of one delivery slot per week.

2.6 As the Trial continues, we aim to offer further Trial enhancements. Please check back for details.

3. Can I join the Trial later?

3.1 This is a Trial Service. If you don't join the Trial when we offer it to you we'll continue to offer it as long as we can. The Trial may become full and we can't guarantee that we'll always be able to offer it.

4. Changing your Regular Slot

4.1 If the Regular Slot you're offered isn't the time you want, you can wait until you've found a preferred delivery slot from those shown as available to you then join the Trial following checkout. Remember, during Covid 19 all customers are restricted to one delivery slot per week.

4.2 . We're sorry but as the trial is currently full, we're not able to offer alternative slot times to customers who already have a Regular Slot at this time. We may be able to offer an option to change your slot time in the future, and we'll update these terms if that becomes available.'

5. Opting out of the Trial

5.1 If you've joined the Trial and want to opt out, follow the link in your weekly reminder email and select 'opt out'. You'll then receive an email confirming you've opted out of the Regular Slot Trial.

6. Delivery charges

6.1 Online grocery delivery charges and Delivery Pass terms and conditions apply. During the Covid 19 outbreak, all customers, including Delivery Pass customers are restricted to one online order per week.

6.2 The online grocery delivery minimum basket size is £25 and our published delivery charges will apply. My Regular Slot may be used with Delivery Pass. All Delivery Pass orders are subject to a minimum order value of £40.

6.3 Midweek Delivery Pass customers may use their Delivery Pass on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday each week. Delivery charges will apply to Midweek Delivery Pass customers whose chosen Regular Slot delivery slot is on Monday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

6.4 The Trial is not currently available to business customers.

7. Trial Limitations

7.1 The Trial applies to online grocery delivery orders from www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries only and not to any other products or services we offer or sell. We're sorry but it isn't currently available for Click & Collect orders.

7.2 During Covid 19 all customers are restricted to one online order per week. Slots will not currently be made available to customers who have received an online order within the preceding seven days.

7.3 If you change or edit your address during the Trial you will automatically be opted out of the Trial. Wherever possible we will offer you the opportunity to re-join next time you book a delivery slot but this can't be guaranteed.

7.4 The Trial will be suspended during Christmas and Easter trading periods. If your Regular Slot falls on a day we do not deliver or within our peak Christmas week we will not offer you the and you will need to logon and book an available delivery slot.

7.5 If your Delivery Pass expires during the Trial you must renew it to continue to participate in the Trial. If your Delivery Pass is not renewed you will be removed from the Trial. As the Trial evolves we may extend the Service to other customers but this cannot be guaranteed.

7.6 My Regular Slot operates a fair usage policy. We reserve the right to suspend your Trial membership if we consider in our sole opinion that your use is not reasonable, for example if you have used the Trial fraudulently.

8. Changes to the Trial

8.1 We reserve the right to change or withdraw My Regular Slot benefits or suspend the My Regular Slot Service at any time and for any reason.

8.2 We reserve the right to change and update these terms and conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will update our website with the revised terms and conditions. Continued use of the Service implies your acceptance of the amended terms and conditions.

8.3 We reserve the right to monitor usage of My Regular Slot and to terminate individual participation if we believe, without limitation, that a participant is in breach of the fair usage policy, is in breach of any term or condition or engaged in activity we suspect involves fraud or the misuse of My Regular Slot participation.

9. Our Liability

9.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts or affects your statutory rights

9.2 We do not warrant that the Trial will meet your specific requirements or be fit for any particular purpose unless obvious.

9.3 Our liability for any loss you suffer as a result of us breaching this agreement is strictly limited to the purchase price of the goods.

9.4 This does not include or limit in any way our liability for any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability.

9.5 We are not responsible for indirect losses which are not foreseeable by us. We are not liable for losses including without limitation, loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings or loss of data.

10. Events beyond either party's control

10.1 Except in respect of a payment obligation, neither party will be liable for any failure to perform any obligation owned to the other due to reasons beyond its reasonable control, for example, industrial disputes, technical difficulties, failure of or delays in communications networks, acts of terrorism or power failure.

11. Business Information

11.1 Sainsburys.co.uk is owned and operated by Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, registered number 3261722, a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is at 33 Holborn, London EC1N 2HT.
