Nourish the Nation

Nourish the Nation

As part of its Nourish the Nation programme, this Christmas, Sainsbury's is inviting customers to join in on its mission of tackling food poverty and is providing ways customers can support our Nourish the Nation programme and partnership with Comic Relief.

Nourish the Nation is our long-term community programme, working with our long-standing partner Comic Relief, that is funding initiatives designed to tackle food insecurity and ensure communities have improved access to balanced, nutritional, and sustainable food sources now and in the future.

Sainsbury's Groceries Online

When ordering on Sainsburys Groceries Online, if an item is not available, Sainsbury's will try to offer you 'alternative goods' similar to the goods you have requested. If one of our Nourish the Nation GM Christmas products or festive sandwich or selected festive veg range is substituted for a non-Nourish the Nation product, this will not trigger a donation to Comic Relief and the Nourish the Nation programme.

You may select to turn off the 'substitute' option for individual or all goods at 'your trolley' at checkout. We will attempt to deliver substitute products should selected products be unavailable unless you request us not to do so. No donation to Comic Relief will be made if the Nourish the Nation product is unavailable and substitution option has been turned off.

You do not have to accept the alternative goods offered by Sainsbury's. Acceptance or rejection of any alternative goods does not occur until you have the opportunity to inspect them at the time of delivery. Where alternative products are accepted, customers should check product packaging for the most up to date nutritional information and allergen warnings, as these may differ from the products originally ordered.

Where will the donations go?
