Smart Charge is a brand-new, dedicated EV charging business that will give drivers access to ultra-rapid EV charging points across Sainsbury’s stores.

Our 150kW charging bays allow drivers to fully charge their vehicle in as little as 30 minutes. And best of all, they’re powered by the same 100% renewable energy that powers the Sainsbury's estate.

How it works

Our charging stations are convenient and safe, right next to the Sainsbury's store with access to 24/7 customer support.

1. Choose your payment method

You can pay using a debit or credit card, as well as contactless via Apple Pay or Google Pay. We charge a flat rate of 75p per kWh with no subscription required.

2. Start your charge

Plug your vehicle in with the cable provided at the charging station to get started.

3. Get on the move in no time

Our 150kW chargers can provide up to 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes.
