Delivery Instructions

You can add information about your delivery address on the website, to help our drivers get your order to the right place. You can add things like "use side door", or "deliver to reception". You can also use these features for notes like doorbell not working, or any extra assistance you might need.

Our drivers will try and accommodate the delivery instruction to the best of their ability, time permitting and provided it's safe to do so.

Our in-store pickers will not see the information you provide so please avoid adding any instructions with relation to food quality or dates.

How to add your delivery instructions on the website

  • Login to your Sainsbury's account
  • On your account page, select addresses
  • You will see a link that says add delivery instructions
  • Click this link and scroll to the bottom, you will see a box called delivery instructions
  • Add your note and click save

You can also add delivery instructions at the checkout

  • Click checkout when you've completed your shop
  • On the delivery details box, you will see a link called add delivery details. You will also be able to select a date, confirm the delivery address and add the delivery details.
  • Select this link and add your note
