Grocery delivery times & charges

We deliver 7 days a week* with convenient delivery times with standard 1-hour slots or flexible Saver slots. You can check if we deliver to your area on our Groceries page.

Delivery Charges

  • Orders under £50 (after multibuy offers, product promotions and Nectar Price discounts) for delivery from next day will be charged £7.50 for standard 1-hour delivery slots and flexible Saver slots, for delivery same day the charge is £9.50.
  • Orders over £50 for delivery from next day will be charged between £1 and £5.50, depending on the slot, for delivery the same day the charge will be between £6 and £7.50.
  • Minimum order value is £25
  • The delivery charge applicable to your order will be confirmed before you checkout.

Delivery Pass

With Sainsbury's Delivery Pass, you can pay an upfront fee and then pay no delivery charge on your online grocery orders. We offer 3 types of passes: a monthly, a 6-month and a 12-month pass. You can also choose between an Anytime or Midweek pass:

  • Anytime Delivery Pass entitles you to one free delivery per day, 7 days per week when you spend £50 or more (after multibuy offers, product promotions and Nectar Price discounts). This pass costs £80 for 12 months, £43 for 6 months or £7.50 a month for a monthly pass.
  • Midweek Delivery Pass entitles you to one free delivery per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays when you spend £50 or more (after multibuy offers, product promotions and Nectar Price discounts). Any deliveries outside of these times will be charged at the delivery rate as advertised on our website. This pass costs £50 for 12 months, or £4 a month for a monthly pass.

Please note, your Delivery Pass can only be used for Sainsbury's Online Groceries, and not any non-food orders.

*We deliver on all UK Bank Holidays, however, we do not deliver on Public Holidays.

We guarantee you won't be out of pocket

If you don't save enough to cover the cost of your Delivery Pass, we'll send you a voucher for the difference.
